  11. Does anyone know what the function of the "hostname" program in amitcp is?

  15. My startnet script seems to hang occasionally at the line:

  17.          setenv HOSTNAME `AmiTCP:bin/hostname`

  19. It simply sits there doing nothing.  WHen it eventually times out, I can't
  20. do anything like "ping" my server, etc.

  22. My startnet script hasn't changed at all, and I usually get a PPP connection
  23. without problems, but I'm currently having a hell of a time with a connection
  24. with my ISP.  Logging in with my Mac emulation using Mac sys 7.5 and MacPPP
  25. works flawlessly during the same time the Amiga won't log in.
